colostrum v milk

1. Colostrum is the first milk that the body produces during pregnancy. Milk is formed only secondary to colostrums.
2. While Colostrum gives the initial immune power, fats and carbohydrates, milk adds these to the child’s body as it grows.
3. Colostrum is very creamy and yellow in colour. Unlike colostrum, milk is somewhat white in colour.
4. Colostrum is the milk that is produced in the breasts before the mature milk is produced.
5. Colostrum is also known to stimulate the production of mature milk in the breasts.
6. When compared to Milk, Colostrum contains three times more Vitamin D and ten times more vitamin A.
7. Milk is rich in proteins, vitamins and carbohydrates, enzymes, antibodies and hormones
